Thank you so much for your Donation

Thank you for your support of Food For Love. It is because of kind-hearted people like yourself, that last year we were able to provide over 8,000 meals to people living in the Upper Clutha community during unexpected times of need. Our service not only provides practical support with nutritious meals but also lifts the mental and emotional load by offering social support and a sense of community care. The heartfelt feedback from those we’ve helped highlights how our efforts make a tangible difference, providing comfort, connection, and relief during challenging times. Don’t just take our word for it, read some of the beautiful messages of gratitude we have received from nominees below

Messages of Gratitude:

“I just wanted to thank you for the amazing meals that you all have provided me and my husband this week as we care for our newborn. It has been such a huge help, both physically and emotionally, to receive a prepared meal that is so clearly made with love and thought. The delivery on Monday was the most nourishing meal we’ve had in ages, having started our parent journey with several days in NICU and then cooking the quickest, easiest things we could at home while my husband returned to work. Thank you so very much for what you do for the community. It really does make a difference, feeling cared for and connected, as well as nourished.”

“Just want to say a massive thank you for the meals we received! Wow what a treat. We are so grateful! K was in hospital all last week and couldn’t eat much with pancreatitis and gallstones, so this was really such a treat and a huge help. Thank you so much and God bless you! x”

“Please pass our thanks to our cook for our food, it was delicious and much appreciated. Our one year old signed ‘more’ for the first time tonight so she loved the food as much as us. Sincere thanks again Bex … and to your amazing deliverers.”

“We can’t thank the work and continued contributions made by all the kind folks from Food For Love enough. My wife has completed treatments and into recovery mode now to rebuild and to start slowly feeling human again. Many thanks.”

“Just wanted to say thank you for everything you do. As you probably know my husband passed away last Monday. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate Food For Love. Coming home today to the roast dinner was more than I can put into words. Thank you x”

“A big thank you to you and all who contributed time and effort to preparing and delivering meals, whilst my partner was hospitalised and the recovery/rehab phase. Our journey has been punctuated by subsequent hospital confinement and complications but Food For Love was a bright light that made a real difference. It’s not always easy to accept kindness and love when faced with a crisis. We will never forget and intend paying that love forward in the future. To all who contributed to easing our situation, in a way that can’t be quantified, thank you. x”

“I want to thank you and your team for your support at a time that has been really hard for the kids and I. Receiving home cooked meals made with love was an absolute godsend. True Earth Angels! I hope to help you out in the future to show gratitude for all the you do! Much love always.”

“I wanted to say a HUGE thank you for our delivery of food yesterday! I had knee surgery yesterday, and while we were at the hospital, someone had dropped off some meals. One of our boys was home and accepted them. He is a teenager, so he probably had very few words for the kind person who dropped them off. So please pass on our gratitude to everyone involved. You have saved us so much stress, and I can relax knowing my husband isn’t doing a million things to keep us going.”

“Thanks so much Food for Love for the very generous food package we received after my partner had his operation. It made home life a little easier knowing I didn’t have to cook for a few days. We appreciate everything all of you amazing volunteers do. “

“We have been so grateful for the Food For Love meals. My husband is now on a program for his cancer treatment and we will be coming and going between Dunedin and ChCh and cannot say when we will be home. Thank you and your lovely ladies for the support you have provided with the delicious meals.”
